As the real estate industry continues its rapid shift to a technology based, online platform, both consumers and real estate professionals find themselves adjusting to a rapidly changing environment. Recognized as one of the oldest professions, real estate and the real estate purchasing process has for most of its existence remained pretty much unchanged. Buyers would rely solely on a realtor to expose them to properties for sale (mostly through a phonebook-like printed catalogs) followed by a (printed) paperwork intensive transaction that often took longer than the average 30 day closing that we’ve become accustomed to.

In a day and age where 90% of homebuyers search for real estate online at one point or another,

Excited for my first time homebuyers for their condo purchase at The Shores in Marina Bay. After making several offers, only to be outbid by extremely agressive buyers, I decided to introduce my clients to the development known as The Shores in Marina Bay. Not only did they immediately fall in love with the development and the condos, but they also quickly realized all that the Marina Bay neighborhood has to offer.

The best part is that each unit has been gutted from floor to ceiling and updated with the latest fixtures and design features. You don't want to miss this year's  Autumn Lights Festival at the Gardens at Lake Merritt, held next weekend, Friday and Saturday 18th & 19th.  This wonderful two night art exhibit/festival was created as an annual fundraiser for the Gardens, to achieve the goal of $200,000 to fund redesign, landscaping and irrigation.  The plan also includes enhancing the entrance of the gardens by placing a wrought iron gate (designed by local artist Shawn Colvin) set into a stunning setting, creating the Oakland Landmark the Gardens at Lake Merritt deserves to be.

The festival is made possible because of the outpouring of creativity of more than 60 Oakland and  Bay Area artists who display their light infused art, many of whom are featured at Burning
