December 2016

Found 5 blog entries for December 2016.

Just in time for Christmas, my clients closed on the purchase of this gorgeous 2 BD, 2 BA, condo at The Ellington in Jack London Square on December 21! Known as the slowest time of the year in real estate speak, December usually sees less properties on the market and fewer buyers as well, however, it's a great time for those who want to purchase in an environment that sees less competition. And that was exactly the case with this unit as well. Most of the two bedroom units at The Ellington have sold in the $1.1 million and higher range, but I was able to get my clients in at under $1 million, which is a great deal for Jack London Square's most elite resdiential complex.

The East Bay has a lot to offer when it comes to restaurants, bars and cafes. I like going out in the East Bay better than San Francisco, because in general, there's less hype, better parking, lower prices and the food is just as good!

One of my easy go to's for casual (but still good) eating, is The Public Market located on 5959 Shellmound St in Emeryville.

It used to be a dated food court but has been undergoing a great transformation. It has been growing and is sporting now a nice selection!

In this rainy weather, I usually go for comforting, warming food and choose Wazwan Indian cuisine for it's beautiful curries or Shiba Ramen for, you guessed it, Ramen!  Koja Kitchen has an new spin on

Looking for some night-time sparkle? Here are a few of my favorite East Bay holiday light displays not to be missed:

Oakland Zoo Lights

Each year hundreds of thousands of sparkling LED lights transform the Oakland Zoo into a fun-filled explosion of light, full of glowing animal structures and strings of colorful holiday lights. The light show is entertaining not only for young children but the entire family. The Outback Express Adventure train ride is sure to inspire its passengers on a dark winter's night.

Zoo Lights runs December 2, 2016 to January 1, 2017 from 5:30pm to 9:00pm weather permitting (closed December 24 & 25).

Check out the Oakland Zoo Lights website for tickets and more information.
