After writing an "above-asking" offer on a short sale condo in the 428 Alice loft building earlier this year, I am happy for my clients that stuck through the long and somewhat stressful process and finally closed on their well-deserved new home.
On our first day out viewing properties, we came across a stunning, 6th floor , 2-bedroom, 2 bath corner unit that was so well maintained, it practically looked all-new. This large 1,200 square foot condo features new bamboo flooring, a granite countertop/stainless steel kitchen, double-vanity/walk-in closet master suite, stackable washer/dryer, 2-car garage parking with an additional storage unit, and floor/ceiling windows in every room with views of the downtown Oakland skyline, estuary, and the Bay Bridge.
This short-sale transaction took about five months to close, and we kept busy, still looking at new inventory in the case that the bank would not approve the deal, but in the end my clients are stoked at the outcome in getting such an incredible apartment for a great deal.
There are still a number of short-sales on the market and if you are interest in snapping one up, I am always happy to help.
