Highland Terrace, Oakland Real Estate & Homes

The Highland Terrace neighborhood is a small residential community that’s wedged in between Oakland’s Tuxedo, Highland Park, Rancho San Antonio, and Meadow Brook neighborhoods. Bounded by 14th Avenue, East 21st Street, 23rd Avenue, and East 28th Street, Highland Terrace is a fairly small neighborhood in terms of total area, but most homes you’ll find in the general vicinity of the East Oakland area sit pretty close to one another, presenting more home buying opportunities than you may initially think. The Manzanita Recreation Center is located in Highland Terrace, as are a couple neighborhood markets and small parks; but outside of that, most of Highland Terrace consists of low-traffic residential streets that help make this one of the east side’s more laid-back places to call home.
