Santa Fe, Oakland Real Estate & Homes
Santa Fe is a small Oakland neighborhood that lies on the city’s north side. Somewhat triangular in shape, the boundaries of Santa Fe are roughly defined by Temescal Creek to the east, 61st Street to the north, Lowell Street to the west, and 47th Street to the south. Back around 2012, a strong push was made to re-label the neighborhood NOBE, which stood for North Oakland Berkeley Emeryville. The motivation behind the name change was to try and attract younger home buyers in town looking for a new place to live near Berkeley and Emeryville, but despite being a much more affordable alternative to San Francisco, the effort was largely considered a failure.

Santa Fe Real Estate
Today, Santa Fe still has a rather diverse population, and some might say housing around the area is equally diverse. Thanks to its convenient location near Berkeley, Emeryville, and even San Francisco to some degree, apartments, condos, and plenty of single-family homes of all shapes and sizes help fill out the Santa Fe real estate landscape. And with easy access to the Grove Shafter Freeway, getting to and from just about anywhere in East Bay couldn’t be easier from most homes for sale in and around Oakland’s Santa Fe neighborhood.
