Seminary is a small residential neighborhood that is wedged in between the Frick, Havenscourt, Lockwood Gardens, and Fairfax Business districts. Perhaps most known for its close proximity to Mills College, Seminary also offers easy access to International Boulevard, which is a busier highway that directly connects to the Nimitz Freeway, as well as a few shopping centers and other community amenities that help make living in this part of East Oakland convenient and desirable. Seminary Real Estate

The real estate landscape throughout much of the Seminary neighborhood is similar to what you ordinarily see in the East Oakland district. Small one-level homes, which generally feature a craftsman or bungalow style and design, are common in Seminary, but on the flip side, that also keeps home prices in the area relatively affordable as well. As a small community that’s bounded by 55th Avenue, International Boulevard, Avenal Avenue, and 64th Avenue, potential buyers likely won’t find a ton of options on the market, but what is available will usually start somewhere in the mid to low $400,000s and go up from there.
